Forty years later Faces…
LW Higgins High School Class Of 1980 Class Reunion
Welcome to the 2025 edition of our Class Reunion. It is our hope that you will enjoy the virtual revisit to memory lane and that we will have an opportunity to again have a shared experience as a class.

What I remember…
We started our senior year not as business as usual because all of the regular staff was not present; however, I can honestly say that I barely noticed. Most or all of the things that I was accustomed to as a student were operating nearly the same. To the credit of many, a peaceful resolution brought sovereignty to our Higgins families and neighborhoods and for that I want to extend a belated debt of gratitude to all concerned. Thank you!

Selected For Us By Us

Faces of old, Faces of new
People we know, people we knew
Drifting together, then drifting apart
Always and ending, and now a new start
Forecasting more shades of Blue and Gold …

Does anyone remember?

Who Gets An “A” In Economics?
I am familiar with this scenario:
We’ve all had a decent time, exchanged the necessary pleasantries and as time passes the event grows a little colder and the most important questions begin to surface to a certain few. “Who’s going to pay for this and how much is it going to cost?” Even high schoolers have budgets. As high schoolers we were aware sometimes of our friends’ assets and labilities, and the buck usually stopped there. That seemed appropriate. The mantra of each man for himself was unspoken until it wasn’t. The card holder of the budget then was the Head of Household.
Money matter concerns are bubbling up again in society. There are overt signs of it showing everywhere I turn. Everyday trading is happening differently than it did two score and five years ago. There are newer currencies that are accepted for fair trade in the United States, but we as consumers are only aware of the ones that we use. I found this page showing at the end of this article a plausible pit stop from the past, from high school, sharing insights on rates of inflation, business climate changes in growth and recession. Yes, I saw all of that at a glance, I’ve even made a few predictions concerning new change and was forced to implement change in personal plans to respond to it. Beginning in 2025, I’ll try again to enjoy consumer life more like I did, before I had to become so cyber wise. I’ll revisit this list as a consumer and actually see what 1980 looks like the face of 2025.

The things that connected us are still factors for us today, some the same , some different and some nonexistent. We are excited to have conversations about such. How are we the same, different? What did we hold on to from the past? What do we want to give to the future?

It is a fact that learning starts at home, our parents, friends , neighbors and associates are all involved as principles, volunteers boosters and the like. School refines education for us, partnering the formal and informal. Polishing. Improving.
