February 2020 LW Higgins High School Marching Band and athletic teams were in the news
February 2021 launches a year long Community Festival Spotlight of the Jefferson Parishes westbank communities including Waggaman, Avondale, Bridge City, Nine Mile Point, Westwego and Marrero Louisiana.
March 2020 we visited the bowling alley, live theatre, historical museums and a host of Saint Joseph’s Alters.
April 2020 there was catered events, employment activities, Holy Week and Arbor Day remembrances to enjoy.
May 2020 the talk was bike tours and “Lemonade” and how our community partners continue to help us “make it happen.”
June 2020 was the time to plan and enjoy film in front of or behind the camera. For musings a collaborative book list was added.
July 2020 the topic, movies and books again.
August 2020 was “Back to School” initiatives including a trip to the Barber or Beauty salon, a personal wardrobe check and supply list to review.
September 2020 was dedicated to thank our volunteers.
October 2020 we visited our Alma Mater and reminisced about Homecoming in season’s past.
November 2020 we salute our country’s service men and women.
December 2020 a walking tour with very special points of interest is the at your leisure activity.
January 2021 is skating party central time.
